When Chris Kamara and Geoffrey Richmond signed the huge Darren Moore from Doncaster they blasted the transfer tribunal for setting the fee too high to help the failing Rovers, however, Kamara did mention after the decision that it could turn out to be a snip. After Darren has bedded in for a season it looks like Chris Kamara could have been right. The club has reportedly turned down bids of over £1.5m from Wimbledon for "The Big Man".

A firm favourite with the City fans Darren has been given the nickname Bruno, whether this is a reference to the boxer or former City centreback Noel Blake no one is quite sure.

Darren is represented by Mel Stein, who guided the career of Paul Gascoigne and wrote the biography of former City star Chris Waddle.

Darren is a tough tackling defender with a huge physical presence. He is excellent in the air and has added a few goals to the cause. In addition to this Darren shows signs of improving his distribution skills with his forty yard through ball to Lee Mills in the demolition of Bristol City being one of best moments of the season. Darren Moore could be a player of real Premiership quality.
